Kompozer for mac

After advice from Greg, I'm using HTML 4.01. OK, there are some things I've discovered. It's run by Greg Chapman and it's been a great help to me. I tested it briefly once before but I didn't quite get it. It's fine but it's slow to hand code everything. Now I'm updating my website at and I'm trying to get away from hand coding everything. I've been away a while but that's basically because my MacBook Pro works well. Now, how do you change the DTD line at the top of the page? I have to use Taco to do this as I haven't discovered how to do it in KompoZer. I also found a useful way of adding a row at the bottom of the table - just hit the tab key, just like in Word. When asked in the dialog box, leave the 'other' tag blank.

Then I discovered that you can convert text into a table just as you can in Word. I started by inserting a 2-row, 2-column table at the top of the list of files. I want to put each file name in 1 column and the date in another. So that I could include the date of the update. It happened like this: I decided to alter my Updates file On the other hand I found KompoZer great for setting up tables. I have to do some coding to correct errors and standardise formatting. I could do it in KompoZer but it's more difficult all in one colour. Taco allows easy HTML source coding because of its use of colour for different elements.

I find myself using a combination of Taco and KompoZer to update my website.
